  1. Hi 60seconds, here in Spain there are very few out of tune Multanovas. We´ve located 2 or 3 in Galicia (North-West Spain) and Cataluña (North-East).

At what frequency are they running?

...while Bel975 or Stinguer DSI for example will not detect it if it falls out of tune, the STi-R will because instead of listening to 100+/-MHz around the 33,4GHZ, the STi-R listens to +/-250MHz I believe it is, and that is enough to still cover an out of tune Multanova.

    Hello Carlos!

Nice to hear from you again! :hi:

We've been doing some tests lately and discovered that the Stinger has a very short Ka-frequency-window. Radar frequency less than 34,22 GHz was ignored. So it must be 34,3GHz +- 80 MHz, which is very close.

  2. Since Multanova 6F is used a lot in my country, I was wondering about your experience when the radar frequency it is out of tune?

I read something about a Peugeot 307 "descalibrado", but couldn't understand very much.

My STI-R never missed an alert, expect ones, but maybe the Multanova was just off in this case.

Do you turn off the neighboring Ka-segments, or activate Ka-wideband?

How often do you encounter a Multanova which is out of tune?

    Thanks for sharing....

  3. Stinger has developed a device to jam the autovelox 105 which is italian made.

Really? Can you give me more information about that device or a link? I couldn't find anything on the stinger HP.

There is also a "jamming device" for the ESO in development from a german group. The testresults look promising.

  4. How is everything up there? any Spectre yet?

    Thanks I'm fine!!

Spectre isn't used in Austria/Germany/Switzerland and I think there won't be in the near future. Thankfully RD isn't a big topic in our country and the official opinion of the police is, that they don't work.

Anyway I'm getting rid of my 966R and replace it with an STI-R. Due to increasing K-Band radars, I need something which can handle false alarms (muting, Citiy-Mode...). Also the STI-R is discontinued and unfortunately there isn't another remote model which has such a good Ka performance like the STI-R.

But I will miss the 966R. It did a great job!!

I've been there 5-6 times in Salzburg, Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Mattighofen...

I hope in the winter. The skiing region is just wonderful there.

Tell us about radar stuff in Austria, last time I went there I realized the authorities of Salzburg had installed several speedcams in then town.

Luckily speed controls aren't excessive in Austria. You will be fine with a RD, Jammer and Radar POIs on your GPS. Mostly there are Multanova 6F and for laser LTI Marksman.

Unfortunately there is a new device in planning called ESO ES3.0, which is a so called light barrier. So no detection for RDs.

Did anyone of you test the new Escort Redline or the Escort 9500ci so far??

  5. Hello guys!

Well, it looks like I'm your first abroad member here. :) I think that this new international section is a good idea, because there are lots of useful information about radar detectors collected in this forum and unfortunately the Google Translator doesn't work very good from Spain to German.

You may reckon that there will be some exchange of experiences the next time.

Btw. how are things going on with the Spectre?? Is it used national?
