  1. Thanks, good to know for when I do the AP7 in the other direction when returning home again!
  2. Thanks for the information! Luckily I didn't see any flash. And the orange small boxes with "radar" mentioned on it, are these the Autovelox cabins? On the AP7 I saw a lot of these orange boxes on a stretch of road and they were alerted on Waze as a mobile radar, but no way that all of them were active since there were so many of them on a small stretch of road.
  3. I am back in Spain and I noticed you also have some Poliscans on the AP7. Most of them were marked on Waze, but not all. I saw them on the first part when crossing the French/Spanish border. Do they have a visible flash in Spain? In Germany they have a visible red flash, in France they have a visible white flash, but I would think an infrared flash is also a possibility.
  4. I was using my Neoline 8700s. Didn't see any mobile radars during my holiday so I didn't really need my RD in the end. I hope Neoline will add Cirano 670 detection by next time I will be in Spain in case they start using it as a mobile radar as well. I have a bad experience with Genevo customer support myself + their devices are too expensive imo outside of Spain.
  5. Thanks for the extensive reply, it helps a lot! I still have some additional questions. - Is it correct that in Spain they only use MRCD and did not switch to MRCT like in the Netherlands? Currently I have MRCD and MRCT enabled, but the less I need to enable, the less false alerts I get. - Are there certain radars/lidars that are used more on the highway compared to other roads? You were talking about certain lidars that are used by local police, does the highway police have certain radars/lidars that they mainly use? Unfortunately my RD doesn't support Cirano 670 yet, but since it is not seen as mobile version yet on the roads I am not too worried about it for now. MRCD(/T), Dahua and of course Ka band are supported and enabled. And if I understand your post correctly, these are the most common mobile threats seen on the Spanish roads nowadays.
  6. Hi, I would like to know which mobile radars and mobile lidars are used in Spain nowadays. I can find a lot of info on this forum, but a lot of the posts are old. Fixed and mobile equipment are also mentioned mixed with each other. I don't care about the fixed equipment since Waze will warn me for it. I only care about the mobile equipment which Waze will miss if no one else marked it on Waze. I will take my radar detector to Spain and would like to know which frequencies I need to activate for the mobile radars. From the information I gathered I think this should be sufficient: Ka band 34.3 GHz ±100 MHz (mobile MN6F) MRCD (mobile MRCD) Laser (Velolaser, TruCAM II) Is this information complete and up to date? Which mobile equipment will I see the most? I am interested in general information about the radar/lidar equipment in Spain, but will be mainly driving around Almeria, Murcia and Alicante. Thanks!
